What is the Bullet Journal?

stocksnap_ssfpv801mqBullet Journal® (or BuJo® for short) was created by Ryder Carroll, a digital product designer living in Brooklyn, NY.

A Bullet Journal is a to-do list, a (kind of) personal diary and a planner in one. 3 in 1.

This is good for:

  • people who have a million little to-do lists flying around the house
  • people who obsessed with stationery
  • people who love planning and making lists
  • people who would really like to keep a journal/diary but are having trouble sticking with the habit
  • people who would like to live fully and want to be more productive
  • people who would like to try it out

The main idea is that you write down quick notes instead of long sentences. It’s also helps you to be organized and don’t forget important events and to-dos in a creative way.

What should you use for a Bullet Journal?

  1. any kind of notebook you like (dotted, grided, ruled, blank, A/5, A/6, black, marbled, colorful, etc.)
  2. a black pen
  3. a ruler

And that’s all!

But if you looking for something more…

for notebook:

  1. Leuchtturm1917 Bullet Journal edition
  2. Leuchtturm1917 notebooks (My favourite is the A/5 dotted version.)
  3. Moleskine notebooks
  4. Rhodia webnotebooks
  5. Peter Pauper Press Essentials
  6. Filofax notebooks

WARNING! The bulletjournal.com website says: “The two main things to keep in mind are size and quality. If it’s too big you’ll never take it with you. If it’s too small it will be impractical. Be sure to get something that’s rugged enough to keep up with you.”

for pen:

It can be anything you like. I use a cheap black fineliner and Stabilo fineliners (black and colored ones). I recommend something black, because it shows better on the pages.
